The Jade Reef Standard

Know what you’re buying.

Botanical products should not require guesswork. We build focused formulations around disclosed ingredient amounts, meaningful analytical information, and documentation that can be connected back to the product.

Botanicals, Made Measurable

Transparency should be part of the formula.

Botanical ingredients are complex by nature. That does not mean the product information surrounding them has to be vague. Jade Reef is built around the idea that customers should be able to see what ingredients are used, how much is included, and what available testing says about the material behind the product.

Our Principles

A clearer way to formulate botanicals.

We focus on a small set of practical principles that make the product easier to understand from formula through finished batch.

01

Disclose the Amounts

Ingredient quantities are stated directly. We do not use proprietary blends to obscure how much of an ingredient is present.

02

Measure What Matters

When a botanical has meaningful and analytically useful constituents, we prioritize quantified markers rather than relying solely on extract ratios or broad marketing language.

03

Keep Formulas Focused

We favor deliberate combinations over oversized ingredient panels. Each ingredient should have a clear reason for being in the formula.

04

Connect Testing to the Batch

Laboratory documentation is most useful when it can be tied back to identifiable material and production lots rather than presented as a generic brand-level claim.

Measured Botanicals

Beyond the extract ratio.

Terms such as “10:1,” “20:1,” or “100:1” can describe aspects of an extraction process, but they do not necessarily tell a customer how much of a particular botanical constituent is present in the finished material.

Where appropriate analytical methods and meaningful markers exist, Jade Reef prefers quantified constituent information that gives a more direct picture of the ingredient being used.

Not every botanical can or should be reduced to a single marker. When that is the case, we use the most relevant combination of botanical identity, supplier documentation, analytical testing, and lot traceability available.

What We Avoid

Less marketing fog.

No Proprietary Blends We do not hide ingredient quantities behind a combined blend weight.
No Oversized Ingredient Panels More ingredients do not automatically make a better formula. We prefer focused combinations with a clear rationale.
No Testing Without Context A laboratory report should identify what was tested and which lot or material it represents whenever that information is available.
No Pretending Botanicals Are Perfectly Uniform Natural materials vary. Our goal is not to pretend that variation does not exist, but to measure, document, and communicate it more clearly.
